Am on UNited Flight 635 to Denver en route to NYC! It's the 11th year of our annual STC HS group get together with Lysa, Monina, Susan K.The group of quite different personalities who have grown to care about each other but only truly synch up at these long weekend getaways. I have and always looked forward to belonging in a significant way to my friends who, despite our varied backgrounds can truly relate and love each other. Every single one of us has gone through tough times, truly trying times at certain points in our 58-60 years. We treasure those moments as well. And we are there for each other somehow. We know because we shared it with each other.
The laughter and the tears that I wouldn't trade out because these are the stuff life is made of, meant to share with our companions in our journey through this short, fleeting and limited life. 2 of us have lost their moms while Monina and I have ours- the last of the parents alive.
Another milestone, a transition to have to go through.
Train rides to Manhattan from Queens! We're going to talk about our kids! Our husbands, our needs and wants, our dreams, and aspirations. Our hopes for the future!
